Adaption to device
In addition to the AM3D Audio Enhancement software, AM3D offers
tuning and filter design tools for quick and easy adaption of the
software to each device model.
Features of the Filter Design Tool (FDT):
- The tool create the filters for the Transducer Equalizing
module
- A measurement of the transducer magnitude response is the main
input to the tool
- A target magnitude response for the system can be
specified
- Several tuning functions in the tools is used to control the
resulting filter design
- Based on the inputs and settings the tool will design an
optimum filter for all supported sample rates
Features of the Audio Module Tuning Tool
(AMTT):
- The tool is a host for all of the audio enhancement
modules
- Audio streams can be processed in real time on a normal PC
- The tool uses a Win32 library, that processes bit exact
compared to the target library
- All module combinations can be processes and evaluated for
selecting the optimum combined for each use case e.g. Transducer
Equalizing + Bass Enhancement + Virtual Surround 2.0 for headphones
playback
- Modules can be enabled/disabled to verify the effect of each
module
- The filters for the Transducer Equalizing can be loaded from
file to test different filter designs
- Presets can be saved, and used to compare different settings in
real time
- The parameters of each modules can be tuned in real time
- After tuning, the parameters can be transferred to the device
for final verification
